Chiaroscuro

Maaaaaaan I love how this came out.

Remember in [link] when I was saying how I wanted to use dramatic shadows? Well, that desire managed to stick around for another two days, and I went with it because by then we were at the airport, through security, at our gate, and still had a whole 2 hours to wait before the plane got in (that was before it was delayed). Vitid was the choice because he has nice, fluid anatomy, and this type of lighting is fun on muscles. He actually was meant to have a relaxed expression, until I decided to just skip his eyes and not worry about little details like that.

I also came up with an idea for Whisper, the story Vitid's a part of, which would have Vitid's patron Tareki as Tenseh, Tareki of Light and Darkness, so we might be seeing more of dramatically shaded Vitid in the future.

It was massive fun to draw. I miss shading like this, come to think of it. I used to ink the comic sorta like this, but then I stopped because it was taking too much effort and I wanted to move the story along.
