Thanks for all the Happy Birthday wishes! I really do appreciate it (even if I'm writing this over a week later).
Aaaaand a hypothetical question for the fun of it: so I've got this character named Unknown. If you read my webcomic you know him as the guy who runs the Alliance. If you haven't read it, well... he's the guy who runs the Alliance. Anyways. His kind is called the essence- it's a very rare kind made of magic, and I've been trying to decide whether or not they're capable of feeling physical pain. A little more info about them: the essence are "born" when there's enough extra magic floating around in the world, and they die when they either use too much magic all at once or their magic is absorbed by something else; they can't eat, but they get their energy by absorbing small amounts of energy and magic from their surroundings; they're technically genderless; their bodies are entirely solid magic, but they can't change their physical form or shapeshift or anything like that. I haven't been able to figure out if they can feel pain because, on one hand, it would be kinda cool to have a character who can't be hurt physically (unless "he" ran out of energy), but on the other hand why shouldn't he feel pain? Either option would have a ton of possibilities to explore for the story. What do you think?
And while I'm finally updating my journal again, are there any iPad owners out there?

Webcomic!
I have a new webcomic now, called broken! It's about a fairie general and his army struggling to protect their city-state after an alchemical anomaly brought eldritch monsters into their dimension. If you remember my character [no name] from AATR3, this is the story that spawned from him (no promises on how much resemblance there will be to AATR3 [no name]). There's going to be action, violence, horror, fantasy, magic, and all sorts of other fun stuff, and it's updated every Thursday over here on Smackjeeves. Also: preemptive warning that there will be flashing images at some point, as it is a gif comic.
I will hopefully get around to postin
Update, Kickstarter, and a Webcomic (and GW2)
Hey everyone, it’s been a while, huh? My life got a bit crazy there for a while (highlights include graduating college, getting a boyfriend, and starting my MFA), but I’m back now with more art coming soon. I really wish I had been able to finish my last round in Artists at the Ready 3, because I was having a ton of fun with my opponent's characters, but sadly it didn't work out.
SPEAKING OF AATR3 do you remember [no name]? Well, he has a story now! More specifically, a story that’s going to be a webcomic starting this summer (tentative start date: mid-June). In addition, I’m working on a related 10 page comic called
First Comic-Con!
I'm going to my first Comic-Con soon (the Denver one- just for fun, not selling anything yet) and I'm SO EXCITED. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether I want to go for one, two or three days because, like I said, this is my first one and I'm just going for fun, so I don't know what to expect. I'm totally open to suggestions.
Also, round 1 of AATR3 has been written/loose sketched and it's a whopping 48 pages. Granted, it's 48 black and white half-sized pages, but still. 48. And that's after cutting some stuff out. On the plus side, I know by now I go long with stories, so at least I chose an art style/method for AATR3 that's not too t
Dragon Persona Chat Time and Tumblr
I seem to have a tumblr now. Mostly for sketches & random reblogs.
If any of you have a tumblr, feel free to leave a link in the comments so I can check it out. :)
ALSO THE DRAGON PERSONA CONTEST IS ENDING SOON and we're having a judge/anyone chat time. I might be able to get on sometime late tonight, we'll see. Scratch that- my internet connection won't let me on. But the other judges are pretty awesome, so you should go chat with them if you can.
From the Journal Entry:
Arr, mateys! The contest deadline be fast approachin', but if you've already got your entries in and are looking for something awesome to do with your time, the are vo

I believe I already gave my input on the actual comic page. Or at least agreed with someone who did. XD
